Description | Leicester City Council plans a land swap deal to regenerate a blighted area in Leicester city centre. The council will acquire land previously occupied by Big John’s autos car garage, currently a temporary car park, to prepare it for office redevelopment and improve the surrounding area, including creating a link to Phoenix Cinema. In exchange, the council will transfer land between Queen Street and Southampton Street to developer Rakal Ltd, who intends to develop new homes on that site. The council will also make a balancing payment and cover transfer costs. |
