Description | The Lemon Hill Solar Project is a proposed 180-megawatt solar power installation covering approximately 1,945 acres in Viola and Haverhill Townships near Rochester, Minnesota. The project will connect to the power grid via a 161-kilovolt transmission line to a Dairyland Power Cooperative substation. Ranger Power has secured 100% of the private real estate rights through voluntary agreements and plans to install collector power lines within the public right-of-way. The project is expected to have a lifespan of up to 40 years and contribute over $33 million in new taxes. |
