Révélations Culturelles is a French association dedicated to the promotion, development and distribution support of European cinema, more specifically non-national cinema. It organises Les Arcs Film Festival, taking place since 2009 in Bourg-Saint-Maurice Les Arcs, a ski station in the French Alps. Each year, the festival shows more than 110 films, features and shorts, all conveying the cultural values of Europe - quality, originality and diversity - towards several sections: official Competition (shorts and features), a Focus section (on the Alpine Cinema in 2021 & 2022), Playtime (the best of entertainment European cinema), Hauteur (European author films), Avant premières, Youth program, Special Screenings (Femme de Cinéma Prize, film debate, tributes, etc.) Around 100 European talents are invited to meet the audience, during Q&A sessions, masterclass and conferences. Youth audience represents 30% of the general audience, thanks to targeted actions such workshops, Young Jury experiment and educative trips (for more than 590 students). Besides its public programming, the Festival hosts two professional events: the Industry Village, which is a European coproduction Market, and the Summit, open to distributors, sales and exhibitors, which is dedicated to the innovation in the film industry. Révélations Culturelles also leads during the year many cultural actions, linked to European Cinema such as : - Educative programmes, accompanying young people to discover their European citizenship by the European cinema - The Lab Femmes de cinéma, think tank created in 2016, which aims at sensitize the audience and professionals of the industry on the gender equality - The Cinema Green Lab, an action dedicated to the sensitization of the audience and professionals on the green issue - Futur@Cinema, working on the come back of the young audience in independent theatres - Islensk Vika, a festival on Icelandic Culture, linking cinema, music and literature
