Les Films du Bélier is a French independent production company founded in 2003 by Justin Taurand, who received the IFCIC prize for young independent production companies in 2016. After winning the 2022 Grand Prize at Series Mania for Reign Supreme, we sought to solidify our position in the audiovisual sector by applying to the European Slate Development program in 2023. Thanks to Media support, we are now in the advanced stages of developing two series commissioned by Arte and Canal+. In 2025, we are applying again to the European Slate Development call for proposals to balance our efforts between series and film development. This Media grant would enable us to mitigate risks and enhance our ability to attract and retain talent. Our slate includes three feature films: one by a filmmaker we’ve previously collaborated with, another by an established director marking our first joint project, and the third by a promising new talent. We are also presenting two fiction series, one a debut serie from a renowned film director, and the other by a writer transitioning from documentary to fiction.These projects are co-produced with European and international partners and are intended for theatrical release, television broadcast, or SVOD platforms. We know that the projects presented have a strong transnational potential that can find a worldwide audience and allow us to consolidate and increase our presence in France, in Europe but also internationally.
