Description

Description

"One of the main values of LES FILMS DU LOSANGE is to promote European cinema: the films and the directors we support stand for it. We have accompanied the careers of major figures of European cinema as Michael Haneke (two times Golden Palm Winner for ""Amour"" and ""The White Ribbon""; both sold worldwide); Mia Hansen-Løve (""One Fine Morning""), Nicolas Philibert (""On the Adamant"", Golden Bear in 2023), Mati Diop (""Dahomey"", Golden Bear in 2024), Alain Guiraudie (""Misericordia"")... LES FILMS DU LOSANGE has also supported the debut features of new talents as Juho Kuosmanen (""The Happiest Day of Olli Maki"") or Anne-Sophie Bailly (""My Everything""). LES FILMS DU LOSANGE continues its commitment to European cinema and has recently announced its support to the upcoming projects of essential directors as Albert Serra, amongst others. We are also devoted to recovering, preserving and enriching masterworks for the European cinematographic heritage. In 2024, LES FILMS DU LOSANGE restored and English subtitled the films that Michael Haneke had made for the Austrian television in his early career. The international audience is now able to discover these works for the first time on big screen. Moreover, LES FILMS DU LOSANGE strives to create bridges between European industry actors: movie directors, actresses and actors, producers, co-producers, distributors, platforms and festivals. Our ex-CEO,Margaret Menegoz, who run the company for the last 40 years, participated to the creation of the “Mini-traité” between France and Germany to encourage German-French coproductions. Our current CEO Charles Gillibert (who took over two years ago) is one of the most acclaimed European producers. Régine Vial, head of distribution, cofounded Europa Distribution, the international association of independent film publishers and distributors. Head of International Sales, Alice Lesort, was co-president of Europa International till 2025."
