Description
Description | The Connected Europe: Media, Inclusion, and Citizenship project, led by the agricultural high school Lycée des Métiers du Vivant in Péronne, France, aims to enhance European citizenship awareness among students from rural backgrounds facing social challenges. The project addresses issues related to low engagement with European institutions, social disparities, and the growing influence of digital media and artificial intelligence. It will develop students' understanding of European institutions, promote inclusion through the learning of French Sign Language (LSF), and foster critical thinking regarding digital media and artificial intelligence. Through interdisciplinary, interactive workshops, debates, and creative projects, students will engage with European values, EU institutions, and policies while improving their employability. This initiative will strengthen their sense of belonging to the EU while equipping them with essential skills for future careers. Partnerships with Europe Direct Hauts-de-France and the Lille School of Journalism (ESJ) will enrich the educational experience and provide transnational collaboration opportunities. The project aligns with EU priorities by fostering democratic engagement, media literacy, and social inclusion. |
