Applicant: Municipality of Mondovì (Piedmont region – Italy). Partners: Municipality of Sami (Cefalonia island – Greece); Municipality of Renče - Vogrsko (Nova Gorica area – Slovenia); Municipality of Brignoles (south of France). The 4 Municipalities strongly believe in promoting Cross-Cultural Understanding: L'EUROPE QUE NOUS VOULONS - CREONS ENSEMBLE NOTRE AVENIR (E.N.C.O.R.E.) project will sustain the action for breaking down cultural barriers by encouraging interactions between citizens from different countries. This will generate a deeper appreciation of diverse perspectives, traditions, and values, reducing prejudices and promoting tolerance. The Town-Twinning project offers a unique platform for citizens to actively engage in shaping the future of Europe. Through this initiative, individuals from different towns and regions across Europe can come together, share ideas and discuss their visions for the Europe they want to live in. The project aims to foster a sense of European identity, promote cross-cultural understanding, and encourage democratic participation at the grassroots level. E.N.C.O.R.E will encourage Civic Engagement and Youth Engagement empowering citizens of any age to take an active role in the decision-making processes that affect their lives, promoting democratic values and participation. Through cooperative projects and activities, the Municipalities want to work together on common challenges, enhancing mutual understanding and collaboration across borders. The Town-Twinning project aims to create a more inclusive and responsive European Union, where the voices of its citizens play a central role in shaping its future; it gives contribution to the priorities of the CERV call focuses on fostering peace and building a future of hope for all citizens across Europe, thanks to civic participation. The project event in situ will be held in Mondovi (IT) in autumn 2025 at the presence of the citizens from the 4 Municipalities.
