Description | The proposed investment is a USD Sustainability Linked Loan (SLL) of up to USD [300]m, including an A Loan of up to USD [250]m and parallel loans of up to USD [150]m to LG Innotek Vietnam Haiphong Co. Ltd. (LGI VN or the Borrower). The loan will be guaranteed by LGI VN’s parent company, LG Innotek Co. Ltd. (LGI or the Company), a South Korea-based electronic component manufacturer established in 1970, specializing in developing and producing advanced cellular phone components. LGI is a subsidiary of LG Electronics Inc. and affiliate of LG Corp., which are all listed on the Korea Stock Exchange as of end October 2023. LGI VN currently has two Trang Due Industrial Park factories within the Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone in Hai Phong, Vietnam. To expand its production capacity, LGI VN plans to construct a third factory on the same site in Hai Phong over 2024-2027. and raise debt financing of approximately USD [1.0]bn over the same period to partially fund total construction costs of USD [1.7]bn (the Project). |
