Description

Description

The proposed Technical Assistance (TA) project aims to support private sector development in Liberia through protecting and improving access to finance for Liberian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the wake of the Ebola epidemic. This will support private sector development in Liberia through sustaining and broadening access to finance for MSMEs and deepening Liberian financial systems, through new product development. In particular, the objectives of the project are to help Access Bank Liberia (ABL) deal with the effects of Ebola by ensuring that operations function smoothly and to soften Ebola’s effects on its clients and staff, while enhancing ABL’s resilience. The project will be implemented through two complementary components: (1) Ebola emergency response and support to ongoing operations; and (2) new product development. It is expected that all activities would be implemented over a one year period, starting from the finalization of the grant agreement.
