Description | The Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Technical Assistance Project is building on the groundwork done in previous projects as well as hinging on the country’s vision to focus on addressing youth unemployment. It includes four component. The first is Skills Development for Employment which aims to support a TVET Institute to re-design course content and training modalities of selected disciplines to impart new skills to the youth as required by the market. The second focuses on Job Readiness Program. The objective is to support graduating students in tertiary education institutions by making them work-ready in terms of awareness and experience in the corporate world as well as information on job market requirements. The third component will promote entrepreneurship development programs by setting up an entrepreneurship centre at a Community college in the rural area and developing support programs including entrepreneurship courses, graduate enterprise program and business incubation and growth program. The fourth focuses on Institutional Support to Ministry of Youth and Sports though capacity building and skills transfer to enable the Government of Liberia adopt and scale up model once project is completed. |
