Lucid Realities is a production company based in Paris and dedicated to immersive experiences. The company wanted to develop its activities both in the production of XR content and in its distribution. Our conviction is that there would be no creation of a strong creative industry in XR without the implementation of distribution networks allowing to reach the largest possible audience and to set up efficient economic models. The will to diversify our project portfolio in order to find new partners and distribution venues from the conception phase is at the heart of our strategic and development choices. We submit the Liberty project in development, a virtual reality experience that is both romscale and multi-user. Liberty takes the form of a virtual reality narrative-expedition made of archives, illustrations, and photographs that tell the story of the Statue of Liberty and, through it, the history of European immigration to the United States. Traveling through time between Paris and New York, these two stories intertwine as the story unfolds and are embodied by two characters who are in turn our guides, a souvenir statue and Augustine, a young emigrant girl. The trajectory of the Statue of Liberty allows us to approach the subject of migration in a new way. Its story sends us back to the fate of migrants through time and to reflect on the world we want to build in a way that is readable, accessible, entertaining and touching at the same time.
