Description

Description

In May 2015, a consortium between the Mexican companies Impulsora de Desarrollo Integral – IDINSA (40%), Constructora MAS (40%) and Propiedades Inmobiliarias de Meexico – PRIMEX (20%), was awarded the contract to construct and operate the 42-km Libramiento Hermosillo road at northeastern state of Sonora. The bidding criteria was a combination of technical and economic criteria. Only another company took part in the process, but was declassified: the consortium between México Compania Constructora and Mexico Proyectos y Desarrollos. The sponsor created the special purpose company Concesionaria Autopista Libramiento de Hermosillo, S.A. de C.V. to lead the project. The 30-year contract was signed in July 2015. The investment was estimated at US$ 87.2 million. Financial closure was achieved in January 2016, when the sponsor was granted US$ 54.9 million in loans from Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios Publicos (Banobras) and Fondo Nacional de Infraestructura (Fonadin). The remaining capital expenditures were set to be financed with equity.
