Libya: Perspectives for internally displaced persons and migrants

The FC measure consists of the original commitment from 2015 (amounting to EUR 4 million) and the increase from 2016 (amounting to EUR 1.5 million) and aims to enable Libyan children to attend school and to cushion the psychological stress of everyday life in war. Specifically, 60,000 of 115,000 children in need of support in the area of education are to be reached. To this end, 50 schools are to be rehabilitated, school containers set up, teachers trained, so-called catch-up classes set up and leisure activities offered. In the area of child protection, care services are to be created for 10,000 children. 3,000 children affected by (sexual) violence are to benefit from therapy services. The measures were implemented by UNICEF from the end of 2015 to April 2018.
