"The Life, Land and Water Project (ViTA), aims to continue with the promotion of a healthy and sustainable culture, through environmental and human development activities, which are being carried out through its Tribu del Sol Programme from the Al-Hamam Association in Cortijo Los Baños (Lucainena de las Torres), located in the area of influence of the Tabernas desert (Almeria), considered the largest in Europe, where desertification and depopulation can be considered the main socio-environmental problems. ViTA is a proposal for 3 team activities, each lasting 21 days, one in March and one in September 2023, and one in September 2024, involving 42 young people with fewer opportunities each year, from 7 European countries, each including a ""Health and Culture"" Day as complementary activities. Its main purposes are framed in: 1. Promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. 2. Raising awareness of Europe's rural cultural heritage and its conservation. 3. Promote the construction of an inclusive society with European values. Through the activities of this project we aim to enhance the value of rural culture and its landscape, bringing tangible benefits to the community by promoting the skills of the traditional technique of dry stone construction, considered intangible cultural heritage; and the improvement of traditional irrigation systems, through the conservation of their irrigation ditches. Our activities also promote a healthy and sustainable lifestyle through action learning activities in farm care and conscious coexistence, with attention to an ovo-lacto-vegetarian diet that promotes food from km0, thus reducing or offsetting the environmental footprint; to keep the body active through the physical practice of yoga and sport; and to have a better emotional health through meditation and other techniques."
