"The aim of the project ""LIFE Programme for Lithuania"" is to support the Ministry of Environment and the Environmental Project Management Agency in improving the effective participation of Lithuanian beneficiaries in the LIFE Programme. Specific objectives include increased participation in the calls for proposals, with an elevated number of informed persons (10.000), an increased share of environmental (CEQL), climate, and CET projects (up to 70%), and a 50% share of new LIFE coordinators. Additionally, the project aims to improve the quality of submitted proposals by increasing the capacity of applicants (120 trained and consulted) and achieving three successful proposals each year. The effectiveness and quality of services provided by NCPs will also be improved through seven capacity building activities for NCP staff. The project activities include developing a comprehensive communication and dissemination plan, the release of 10 media articles, leveraging social media to engage audiences and organizing a high-profile event to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the LIFE Programme. The activities aim to raise awareness, highlight opportunities, and showcase the programme’s impact. Mobilizing of potential applicants is foreseen through targeted meetings with umbrella organizations, presenting tailored insights into LIFE funding opportunities, fostering participation from underrepresented sectors, personalized consultations to guide applicants in developing high-quality proposals. The activities also include delivering of annual training sessions and workshops and national LIFE Info Days, featuring expert presentations and networking opportunities. The project emphasizes capacity-building for National Contact Points through tailored training sessions and international exchanges, enabling the Lithuanian NCP team to adopt best practices and enhance their support to applicants."
