Light pollution is a big problem in the world. As it only appears more strongly in recent years, the population is not yet aware of this problem and has almost no information about it. Only a small circle of experts knows the dangers of the problem. Light pollution is unecological, harms humans, their health, affects nature, as well as wildlife and flora. It is also extremely unecological. The project “Light Pollution- Common Solutions” develops solutions to this problem in the project area in Bavaria and the Czech Republic. The aim of the project is the updating and intensification of the network of institutions from the Czech and Bavarian project areas, which have already dealt with the topic of light pollution in the previous project. In addition, the Netzwek will be supplemented by further specialised institutions and individuals in order to achieve the objectives set in this project. The network of specialised institutions will support all activities of this project. The main focus will be on information and education programmes linked to publication in the media. These programmes are intended, on the one hand, for the general public to become aware of this problem, on the other hand for institutions and persons who can positively influence light pollution (mayors, supervisors of organisations and institutions). The aim is to start a process of “self-regulation” of “below”. In addition, measuring devices are prepared and created, which can measure and determine the light pollution. These will also be intensively used for information and education programmes, as well as to the municipalities and organisations for measurement. Another main objective is to prepare and obtain certification of two areas as star parks by the International Dark Sky Association, an area in Bavaria, an area in the Czech Republic. A project internet page is created and the information system is further developed. Two conferences will also be held within the framework of the project. The target groups will primarily be the general population and specialised institutions. The project creates an awareness of light pollution and effective information for institutions dealing with beeuctung in the entire subvenstion area. Population as well as public. Facilities will be more aware of light and strive to avoid and reduce light mog. This will have a very positive impact on ecological and economic areas, such as menschl. Health and flora and fauna. The common approach on both sides will reinforce the Bohemian-Bavarian border region, as well as promote rapprochement and tourism.
