Lillooet - New Carbon Dioxide Refrigeration Plant for Lillooet REC Centre

The proposed project will increase the quality of recreation by installing a new CO2 refrigeration system to replace the existing ammonia system in the Lillooet REC Centre facility. The new system will be safer for the public, the workers maintaining the system, and the environment. The new system is more energy-efficient and will reuse the heat generated by the plant to heat other parts of the arena, which will help with reducing the costs of running the facility. The project works include: -removal of existing ammonia refigeration system; -installation of new packaged CO2 refrigeration system including compressor, pressure valves, heat exchangers, heat reclaim pumps and gas cooler; -installation of a hot water tank and circulation pump; -installation of electrical and control fixtures; and, -pipes, fittings, connections and related works.
