Description | In November 2014, Inmobiliaria Terrano S.A.(IT) and Servicios Andinos Aeroportuarios S.A. (SAASA), both companies subsidiaries of Andino Investment Holding Group (AIH Group), started the construction of the Lima Hub, an air cargo terminal connected to the Jorge Chávez International Airport, in the city of Lima, Peru. IT is the owner of a 14 hectare land adjacent to the International Airport, where the hub was set to be developed, and SAASA committed to the construction and operation the the terminal. In July 2014, IT signed a contract with Lima Airport Partners (LAP) allowing the company to have access to the cargo area of the airport. In May 2015, SAASA signed a 5-year contract with LAP to provide the ground handling services to the aircraft. The investment in the project was estimated at US$ 18,9 million. Financial closured was achieved in September 2016, when the sponsor was granted an 8-year loan of US$ 12 million from IIC (Inter-American Investment Corporation). The remaining capital will be provided with the sponsor’s equity. |
