Description | The project involves the design, financing and construction of the corresponding infrastructure, as well as its operation and management in the districts of Punta Hermosa, Punta Negra, San Bartolo and Santa María del Mar. The initiative includes the 400 lt/sec desalination plant, 260 km of piping, a 180lt/sec sewerage treatment plant and a 780 m underwater discharge pipelines. Sociedad Concesionaria Desaladora del Sur S.A. has been created by Spain's Técnicas de Desalinización de Aguas SA (TEDAGUA) owned by ACS Group. Concesionaria Desaladora del Sur S.A.(CODESUR) holds a concession for 25 years. The financing will be granted through a securitization trust which will be acquiring certain concession rights (RPICAOs) from CODESUR, being that the cash flows derived from such concession rights will be use for the repayment of the financing.
