Limassol Coastal Road Redevelopment and New Beach Creation

under construction

A new 350-metre beach has been created in Limassol as part of the coastal road redevelopment project. The project includes the construction of a pedestrian and cycling path along the coastal road, with a total length of approximately 1,050 metres and width of 4.5 metres. The redevelopment aims to create a functional, sustainable, and welcoming coastal front, including cool pavement coating, autonomous lighting with motion sensors, tree planting, and urban equipment. The beach area was previously closed to the public and has been cleaned and prepared for public use. The project is part of the 'Limassol 2030' initiative and the Climate Pact, promoting sustainable mobility and energy efficiency.
