Description | Minister of Water and Sanitation Pemmy Majodina and Botswana's Minister of Water and Human Settlements Onneetse Ramogapi are expected to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on the joint management of water quality and aquatic invasive species in the Upper Limpopo River Basin. The agreement is part of ongoing cooperation between South Africa and Botswana on the management of shared transboundary water resources in the Limpopo River Basin, which supports approximately 14 million people across South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. The Upper Limpopo River Basin includes several catchments and rivers in South Africa and Botswana. The agreement aims to ensure the quality of water in the basin does not negatively impact the other countries. |
