Description | Viridi Energy has started construction on a landfill gas-to-renewable natural gas (RNG) facility at the City of Lincoln's Bluff Road Landfill in Nebraska. The facility will process landfill gas to produce pipeline-quality RNG for injection into Black Hills Energy's natural gas distribution system, generating renewable energy equivalent to the annual heating needs of approximately 12,000 homes. This is Viridi's fourth landfill-to-RNG project and is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2027. |
