Description
Description | The project is a continuation of a phase I TE project in downtown Lincolnton. Phase II will link to State Route 47 along Peachtree Street as well as enhance Washington Street from Main Street to Goshen Street with cohesive pedestrain walkways, and landscaping. Design elements include the new sidewalks and replacement of deteriorating sidewalks. All sidewalks will be overlaid with a polymer modified cementitious coating. Brick pavers will be cut-in along edges of sidewalks and a brick joint at 25 foot intervals. Curb and gutters will be installed to the new and replaced sidewalks. Handicap ramps will be installed at street corners. The project area includes Peachtree St. between S.R. 47 and Main Street, Washington St. (U.S. 378/ S.R. 43) between Main St. and Goshen St., and Ward Street between U.S. 378/S.R. 43 and Peachtree St. 27 Easements for a total of 0.2461 acres will be required for the project; the remaining work will be done in the existing right-of-way. |
