LinguaTech: Advancing Digital, Inclusive and Multilingual Teaching Practices (LiTE Academy)

This project aims to enhance language education in Europe by improving the competencies of pre-service and in-service teachers through integrating Digital tools, Inclusive practices, and Multilingual pedagogies (DIMs) to meet student needs in an evolving educational landscape. Objectives include enhancing teachers' skills for navigating digital and multicultural classrooms, integrating digital methodologies for accessibility and engagement, developing inclusive strategies for learners, fostering multilingual capacities, and building a network for resource sharing and professional development. Activities include developing training modules, establishing a community of practice, conducting webinars for modules, implementing, and evaluating modules in schools, organizing a teacher mobility exchange forum, engaging in policy advocacy, and managing activities to ensure quality, budget compliance, and timely delivery. Nearly 500 teachers from across Europe will directly participate in professional development activities. Approximately 5,000 students will benefit indirectly through teaching practices and methodologies. Results include enhanced teaching competencies in digital, inclusive and multilingual education; use of digital tools for higher student engagement; inclusive practices for diverse learners; strengthened multilingual capacities among teachers; and a robust network of language educators collaborating across Europe. Outputs include 3 comprehensive DIMs training modules, 1 digital, inclusive, and multilingual resource toolkit (open online for all) and 1 online knowledge and experience sharing hub, 6 professional development webinars, at least 2 training implementation plans, 1 physical and 1 online practice and policy development forum for teachers, 3 policy recommendation documents, and at least 5 dissemination events with the target groups and the local public, and a minimum of 5 engagement meetings with policymakers and educational stakeholders.
