Liquan County Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase II

In July 2011, a local private company, Hankore Environment signed a framework agreement with the Liquan County Government to build and operate a portfolio of three wastewater treatment plants in Liquan County, Shaanxi Province. Within the portfolio was the phase II of the Liquan County Wastewater Treatment Plant which was an expansion to an existing plant with a capacity of 13,000 tons per day. This project would add 20,000 tons per day capacity to the plant. Construction commenced in February 2012 and operational test was conducted in December 2013. The total construction cost was about US$ 6.45 million (RMB 40 million). Hankore had a 100% stake in the project. Term of the build operate transfer project was not reported. How Hankore won the project was not released either. A special purpose vehicle, Xianyang Liquan Hankore Water Affairs Company Limited was set up to perform the project.
