Description
Description | The main objective of the project is to promote the transnational circulation of high quality literary works from European Union countries and respectively the access of Romanian children to European literature on the segment of environment, ecology and saving the planet, so that they reach a wider audience. The literary translation project involves the translation, editing and printing of a number of 16 fiction books from France, Germany and Sweden, countries eligible under this program, which would allow the circulation of European literary works in Romania. All selected books address issues about the environment, ecology and life on the planet, through engaging stories and an easy understanding of these issues. Their content deals with major topics such as climate change, human influence on nature, the importance of protecting endangered animals in particular, and animals in general, excessive waste of resources, and through stories children will be aware of these issues from an early age. Our project contributes to the diversity of Romanian literature because this literary genre is poorly represented on the Romanian book market. All selected literary works bring to children aged 3-10 an attractive reading through the characters. Project results: translation of a number of 16 selected books from the eligible languages of the program, editing and printing of a number of 48,000 copies (16x3000 copies). All books will be printed on recyclable paper at a certified printer. Beneficiaries: - hundreds of thousands of children from Romania, 100 school libraries During the implementation of the project we will carry out several promotion campaigns simultaneously: - a promotion campaign in 500 kindergartens and schools in Romania - an online campaign by running a one-day online marathon 3 times / year - a nationwide book promotion campaign through 300 bookstores |
