Description

Description

This project includes rehabilitation of the current sod soccer field to a turf soccer field and construction of a new synthetic 4-lane rubberized running track, fencing, lighting, along with other sport and physical activity features including a Mi’kmaw learning trail in Liverpool, NS. The current field is in poor condition and no track exists to serve the active soccer and track community. The local Queens County Soccer Association & the South Shore United Football Club are regular users of local field facilities and have seen an increase in local registration for sports in the area. The new turf field will offer a high-quality solution to persistent drainage issues with the current sod field and provide recreational and economic benefits to the community via increased community use from sports groups and teams within and beyond the municipality.
