Liwa fishery harbor development PPP project in North Al Batinah

The project involves the development of Liwa fishery harbor in North Al Batinah, Oman.The scope of works includes the upgradation of current facilities at the harbor consisting of a 1.5-km-long breakwater arm, a 100-m extended deck and floating berths, and the construction of the riverfront, watersport and boat-racing activities, and a 4-star resort. The project aims to attract commercial activities at the harbor via the development of facilities for fish-market, ice-making, and refrigeration facilities, boat-building workshops, fish-processing and value-adding plants, and fish waste processing and value-adding plants, among other commercial activities. The activities will be developed on 45,000 sq m of land adjacent to the harbor.
