Description | In May 2013, the Colombian company CSS Constructores won in a competitive bidding the right to rehabilitate and operate the 54 km of highways connecting the muncipalities of Loboguerrero and Buga located in Colombia. The bidding process was organized by federal agency Agencia Nacional de Infraestructuras (ANI), and the bidding criteria was highest amount to be invested in the project. The sponsor offered to invest US$ 31 million in the roadways (the total project was estimated at US$ 34.3 million, so the government was expected to invest about half of this amount). Besides CSS Constructores, five other companies made public offers for the project: Pavimentos Colombia, El Condor, Latinco, Termotecnica Coindustrial and Hidalgo & Hidalgo. The sponsors created the company Loboguerrero Buga SAS to lead the project. The 3-year concession contract was signed in July 2013, and operations commenced in October 2013. |
