Description

This project is a transportation enhancement in Henry County. The proposed project will provide a trailhead facility. The project will be constructed on two city owned parcels adjacent to Cleveland Street and Smith Street in Locust Grove. The trailhead will act as a terminus for the citywide pedestrian network. Sidewalks will be constructed on S.R. 42/U.S. 23 from C.S. 505/Carter Lane to C.R. 650/Bill Gardner Pkwy; CS 503/Cleveland Street from C.S. 551/Indian Creek Road To 506/Smith Street; and C.S. 503/Cleveland Street from C.S. 506/Smith Street to S.R. 42/U.S. 23. Proposed improvements include minimum 5 foot sidewalks, landscaping, lighting, parking, handicapped access ramps, benches, trash receptacles, bicycle parking racks and signage. All work will be performed on city owned parcels. All construction will meet ADA standards.
