The site will feature three campground-style pods of 20 shelters each, surrounding a central amenity area with mobile washrooms, laundry, a dining hall, and office trailers. The shelters will have heating and air-conditioning, with 10 suitable for couples. The site is located on a city-owned farm field near Highway 401 at 1710 Wilton Grove Rd., near Max Brose Drive and Cheese Factory Road. The project includes paving the site and removing topsoil to reach a workable base. Shelters and utility trailers are expected to arrive in December 2025, with a planned completion before the end of the month and move-in in January 2026. |
