The project involves the deployment of an 80 MW high-temperature gas-cooled small modular reactor (XE-100) to provide electricity and high-temperature industrial steam to Dow's UCC Seadrift Operations in Texas. The project aims to power the production of more than 4 billion pounds of materials per year and is expected to be the first grid-scale advanced nuclear reactor deployed to serve an industrial site in North America. |
