Description | The $5.4 billion Long Son Petrochemicals Complex is Vietnam's first integrated petrochemical facility located in Long Son commune, Ho Chi Minh City. It includes an olefins plant with a capacity of 1.35 million tons per year, three polyolefin plants with a combined capacity of 1.4 million tons per year, a specialized port system, storage tanks, and other modern industrial utilities. The complex was completed at the end of 2024 but temporarily suspended operations due to global market volatility. It is expected to resume full operations in August 2025. The project owner is Long Son Petrochemicals Company Limited (LSP) and the project sponsor is Thailand’s Siam Cement Group (SCG). |
