Long-term U.S. LNG Supply Deal between Venture Global and PTT PCL

planned

Negotiations are underway for a binding long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply deal between U.S. LNG producer Venture Global and Thailand's state-controlled energy company PTT PCL. The talks have accelerated due to disruptions in Qatar's LNG export capacity caused by damage to infrastructure following a conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran. The deal is expected to span 15 or more years, aiming to diversify Thailand's LNG supply as it shifts from coal to LNG for electricity generation.
