Description

Description

The “Longitudinal de los Andes” project involves the rehabilitation, modernization, operation, and long-term maintenance of a major highway corridor crossing central and southern Peru. Led by PROINVERSIÓN under a Public-Private Partnership model, the project covers more than 965 kilometers of roads connecting the regions of Junín, Huancavelica, Ayacucho, Apurímac, and Ica. The works include upgrading and rehabilitating highway sections such as Huancayo–Izcuchaca and Izcuchaca–Mayocc, constructing the San Clemente bypass, and ensuring the road’s operation and maintenance throughout the concession period. The project aims to improve regional connectivity, reduce transportation costs and travel times, strengthen trade and tourism, and facilitate the movement of agricultural products, ultimately benefiting approximately 1.6 million people across the Andean regions of Peru.
