Looking Forward with Youth - Year 3

FPA ID 101121697 Looking forward with Youth 3 is the answer of DBYN and young people within our network to the current needs of youth in Europe/worldwide, and common challenges we are facing. Past years have confronted us to multiple crisis at once and it is important that we continue to invest in young people and youth work. As such, we believe that youth work continues to be a necessity and a chance for young European people and Europe itself. Being close to youth is the core to develop activities that they find useful so that they can overcome their own, and our common challenges. In this third year, we have now left the pandemic behind us and are continuing to work with you while facing current challenges such as war on our continent and the threats to democracy. Throughout Europe, solidarity and peacebuilding activities through intercultural learning continue to be important. We organise statutory meetings to keep up the structures for European youth work and to ensure that local member organisations can do youth work with European impact and that they can participate in European activities with their expertise and young people. We organise activities with young people for young people, by ensuring and facilitating the participation and the active role of young people in all decision making processes as we believe that European youth work is an answer to climate change, facing the consequences of challenges and crises on societies and young people, and counteract the loss in confidence in institutions and democracy. Our target groups are young people, especially youth with fewer opportunities. In our activities, we provide them with quality education in animation, education, advocacy & spirituality on topics such as the European Youth Goals, SDGs, mental health, human rights, equality and youth representation. We bring together 10.000+ volunteers and staff members who cater for 125.000+ children and young people in 13 EU states, Montenegro, the UK and Ukraine.
