Description | The Lorean Energy Group, a partnership of the Mexican companies Grupo Didsa, Colibri Capital and Canromex and the Spanish company Guascor, announced the development of a 1.7-MW biogas power plant located at Saltillo, state of Coahuila. In September 2011, the company signed 21-year concession contract to build and operate the power plant, which was set to supply 45% of the electricity needs of the municipality of Saltillo. The contract was awarded through a competitive bidding process in which eight companies presented offers. The name of the other bidders and the bidding criteria was not available. The investment was estimated at US$ 6.2 million. In December 2014, the NADBank approve a US$ 2.6 million loan to finance the project.
