The project involves installing SmartValve APFC devices to increase substation capacity by more than 100 megawatts (MW), supporting nearby data centers under development. The upgrade is scheduled for completion by late 2025 and addresses a forecasted load increase of up to 500 MW in the San Jose region due to data center expansion. |
