Louisiana Commercial Rare Earth Refining Complex

Ucore is constructing its first commercial scale RapidSXTM machine at a proposed rare earth refining facility in Louisiana, focused on heavy rare earth elements (HREEs). The project is funded by a USD 18.4 million Phase 2 award from the US Department of Defense to scale up the commercial refining complex. The project includes detailed design and engineering of commercial-scale RapidSX columns at the Commercialization and Demonstration Facility in Kingston, Ontario, and facility engineering field work in Alexandria, Louisiana. The work will culminate in the construction, commissioning, demonstration, and early production readiness of salable rare-earth element products.
