Description | Louisiana Renewable Energy Group Inc. is considering expanding its biorefinery in Geismar. The project scope includes construction of equipment foundations and the purchase and installation of feedstock receiving, handling and pretreatment equipment as well as reactors, process vessels, storage tanks and marine-loading and flow-control equipment. The plant’s production capacity would increase from 75 million gallons per year of renewable hydrocarbon diesel, naphtha and liquefied petroleum gas to 225 million gallons per year. The expansion is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024. |
