Louvre Museum Security Upgrade Project

planned

A security audit begun in 2015 found the Louvre Museum in Paris was not sufficiently monitored or prepared for a crisis. The project involves upgrading the museum's security infrastructure, including increasing camera coverage and installing anti-intrusion devices and anti-vehicle ramming barriers. The upgrades are planned to address chronic under-investment in information systems and improve internal control functions.
