Description

Description

The aim of this project is to contribute to decoupling Serbia's economic growth from the consumption of natural resources and greenhouse gas emissions and to support Serbia on its way to a green economy. One of the main reasons for the high environmental impact in Serbia is the use of outdated technologies. The aim of the project is to support the Serbian banking sector in expanding the range of loans available to promote investments that lead to energy savings, reduced emissions and/or reduced resource consumption. These can be investments in downstream processes, with particular emphasis on preventing and reducing environmental impacts at the end of the production process, as well as integrated measures aimed at minimising or preventing environmental impacts from the outset. The loans are to be made available to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), private households and municipalities, thus improving their access to medium to long-term financing, thereby enabling investments.
