Description

Description

Sustainable Neighbourhood Retrofit Action Plans (SNAP) were developed by the conservation authorities and a neighbourhood within Fletcher’s creek was identified as having significant potential for improving stormwater management. This project will create the design drawings for a linear treatment for stormwater along Haggart Ave and allow for the design and construction of a school/community installation project. Monitoring equipment will be installed to establish baseline conditions and assess the impacts of projects on stormwater. SNAP implementation plans, policies, and operations and maintenance plans (for use on a city-wide basis) will be developed. Redside Dace habitat improvements may also be realized , which is identified as a Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry priority.
