Information Department of water resources-MH - II has come up with Lower Pedhi Project with a ticket size of 1480.7 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Tender Award and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project is included under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, PMKSY-AIBP and prioritized in 2016 for early completion. The project envisages construction of the following works- [i] A 19.65 m high and 8610 m long earthen dam with central gated spillway of length of 123 m to impound 75.266 Million Cubic Metre of water. The live storage capacity of the dam is 51.100 Million Cubic Metre. [ii] A right bank canal of length 11.00 km. with the discharge capacity of 7.128 Cumec and a left bank canal of length 21.00 km with the discharge capacity of 3.239 Cumec. Two branch canals of length 14.70 km and 16.80 km respectively also takes off from the Right Bank Canal. During inclusion of Project under PMKSY-AIBP in 2016 Balance Cost of the Project was Rs 915.00 crore Eligible Central Assistance was Rs 38.018 crore CA released since 2016 till October 2021- 17.80 crore State Share released through NABARD under LTIF till October 2021- Rs 409.40 crore Physical progress- 62.43 percentage Financial Progress- 44.91 percentage Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 17020 Ha Irrigation Potential created till October 2021- Nil Projected Date of Completion- June 2023
