Lower South End Mixed-Use Development

Northwood Ravin has requested a change at its sprawling mixed-use development in lower South End. The developer filed a site plan amendment with the city of Charlotte on June 12, requesting optional provisions to change the maximum building size for later phases of its project near the Lynx Blue Line Scaleybark Station. The amendment would allow for taller buildings, increasing the maximum building height beyond the current 120 feet based on distance from nearby single-family zoning districts. The site encompasses 36.4 acres and is expected to include more than 1.5 million square feet of office, retail, restaurant, multifamily and single-family residential use as well as public green space.
