The project aims to eliminate bulk road transport of LPG by developing nine pipeline projects, with bidding currently concluding for four key routes spanning 2,500 kilometres. These pipelines will connect refineries and import terminals with LPG bottling plants to ensure seamless distribution and reduce accident risks associated with road transport. The initiative supports India's climate goals by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and aims to abolish road transportation of bulk LPG completely by 2030. |
