Description
Description | The European Commission has developed the central Land Registers Interconnection Platform (LRI) at the e-Justice Portal (https://e-justice.europa.eu) in order to provide access to property-related information of the EU Member States in an easier and more effective manner. The LRI offers a single multi-language user-interface for connecting the national land registers of different Member States to the central LRI. In May 2019 as the first piloting countries Austria and Estonia successfully interconnected their national land registers to the LRI platform under the project “LRI MS Connection” (Grant Agreement No. 785840). The project relies on the results achieved by the project LRI MS Connection. The project expands the circle of Member States which will take the next steps towards the interconnection of their national land registers to the LRI platform. Within the project Latvia will connect their land register to the LRI. Furthermore three more countries – Hungary, Portugal and Spain – will undertake thorough analysis for gaining a full understanding of the country-specific conditions to be met before launching the development of the national LRI connection. Moreover, the project will provide a greater understanding of the issues and possibilities arising from the increasing number of interconnected national land registers, and a systematic understanding of the possibilities to establish a standardised connection between the varieties of different land register information systems across the European Union, which will help to consolidate the LRI MS Connection project results. The project provides all deliverables in electronic form and in English. The project meetings and workshops will be non-tangible deliverables. The number of deliverables per work package are as follows: WP1: 3; WP2: 3; WP3: 4; WP4: 4. |
