Description | LS Electric has broken ground on a grid-connected energy storage system (ESS) plant in Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The plant is designed for stable storage and supply of electricity to stabilize fluctuations in renewable energy generation from solar and wind power. It will be equipped with a 2-megawatt power conversion system and an 8-megawatt-hour battery. LS Electric will also supply key electric equipment and build an energy management system (EMS) for the facility. This project marks LS Electric's first major milestone in Japan, involving direct investment and management of the plant, aiming to expand its presence in the Japanese ESS market. |
