Description | Sunraycer Renewables LLC has started construction on three solar and storage projects in Texas with a combined capacity of more than 620 MWdc of solar and over 475 MWh of battery storage. The Lupinus I & II project in Hagansport will deliver 520 MWdc of solar capacity co-located with 411 MWh of battery energy storage. The Eagle Springs project in Lake Creek will add 100 MWdc of solar and 66 MWh of storage. Construction is underway at Eagle Springs with commercial operations expected in late 2026. Groundbreaking for Lupinus I & II is scheduled for March 2026, with completion targeted for early 2028. The projects are located in northeast Texas, about 90 miles from Dallas, and are expected to support more than 200 construction jobs. McCarthy Building Companies is the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for both projects. |
