Description | Fictiorama Studios is a Spanish company founded with the goal of becoming a key player in the development of indie, narrative-driven video games. The studio has published four critically acclaimed titles: Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today; the successful Do Not Feed the Monkeys and its sequel, Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099 (which received support from the MEDIA programme); and The Fabulous Fear Machine. This new project will allow the studio to continue its successful trajectory by developing a playable PC demo of LUX: an innovative, narrative-driven video game set in a dystopian, science-fiction version of Europe, which presents a promising opportunity to showcase Europe’s cultural identity and heritage. The three core elements that define the creative value of LUX are its narrative design; its blend of game mechanics designed to attract a diverse range of players; and its art direction. To bring this project to life, Fictiorama will rely on a highly qualified team with extensive experience in video game development. Additionally, LUX is a video game centered around the creative process itself. This approach allows the studio to comment on the challenges facing cultural industries today, while addressing critical themes such as the climate crisis and the looming risk of reaching the point of no return, as well as exploring the impact of mass society on the individual. To achieve this, Fictiorama plans to incorporate a groundbreaking gameplay mechanic based on cutting-edge technology, with the support of Spain’s most prestigious university in that specific field. Regarding the sales strategy for LUX, Fictiorama aims to pitch the game to leading digital publishers capable of leveraging its strong global commercial potential. While staying true to the studio’s signature style, LUX is Fictiorama’s most ambitious game to date, positioning it as the studio’s title with the highest sales expectations.
